Any tips on this weapon? Its easy to get a lock but it seems like even at 150 meters or the gunship next to me it hits 1/5 times.
Lock on to them for a bit to make them deploy shields then once they have deployed, launch the missile. By the time the missiles get to them they will be down and if they dont explode they will surely have to return for repairs, obviously this only works at 100m plus. If they are right up close yur better just ducking untill they pass then launch. If you can launch at the rear of the ship you got a much better chance of destruction because as any gunship pilot knows the shields have trouble covering the rear of the ship. Also its not a good idea just running around when carrying it in your kit because where there are gunships there are bound to be plenty of vehicles stalking around so find a high point and set up, and ur not gonna blow up a transport with 2 missles just not gonna happen unless its hurt already. Pretty much all I know hope it helps.
so only try to shoot if its about to pass and you on the rear or from behind?
yeah thats the best way in my opinion otherwise your missles have a good chance of hitting a shield.
Lol I loved using this gun on Gibralter, it's so awsome seeing SAAW in the corner and my squad going wtf lol.
QFT, SAAW infantry kills are the sweetest ever.Johnny_Extremer wrote:

Yeah.
Just take a lock on your target, Keep it for about 3-4 seconds for the target to deploy their Active Defence.
Just when their Active Defence starts to fade in color, Fire one missile, Then 1 second later, Fire the last.
Make sure to keep *SCOPED* and ensure you hear that *Lock* chime while your missiles are seeking.
Also make sure that nobody's going to sneak up on you with a knife.

Btw, If you've played COD4, You know that Missile launcher thing you use against helicopters?
Sometimes you get that error that theres "Not enough room to fire"?
Think of it like that with the SAAW-AA.
150m means your fired missile won't have enough time to engage it's forward boosters, Meaning it won't do it's optimum damage.
