What happened to that remake of HL1 with the source engine? I tried going throgh HL1 a while ago, but I got annoyed with the bugs and how craptastic the game looked compared to todays standards.

SMOD is really customizable if you know what your doing, if you don't, go get CSS sci fi for SMOD it comes with a customizable menu so you can set gore levels, bullet trails, and recoil that sort of thing.
Remember to use Impulse 101 to get all the good weapons you wont find as pickups, and Give weapon_gcrowbar is a good cheat as well

Kyle, Your description of SMOD is lacking, its not just weapons, You get gibing, extra scripted missions, better graphics, and custom enemies with energy shields and creatures from HL1 like the houndeye
I love SMOD. Using bullettime and the shovel (with funny ragdoll on).

What's SMOD? (Is it Deathmatch only, Singleplayer only, customisation/skins etc?)
it adds weapons to HL2. It's singleplayer. It's fun.
I dont know any mods, but I did enjoy Blue Shift much more then Opposing Force.

There is a Multiplayer mod called Synergy and the screenshots for that look really good and there are plenty of servers. Try that, I forget the website.
Btw people Smod tactical is HARD REALLY REALLY REALLY HARD. I played on the middle level and normall I don't have big problems at all in games. Smod Tactical thou. Oh boy they brough AI with Aimbot+wallhacks and they will throw grenades at you to. They even try to shoot you through WALLS.
You die in like 3-4 hits from a pesky little SMG and you die from 1 shotgun shot which frankly is like a sniper rifle now.
You to kill everything in like 1-4 hits depending on where you shoot.
Also you can't carry all the guns in Smod Tactical either so it's not that fun anymore when you can only carry few weapons at the time. It got some new toys but not being able to carry all of them is a bad thing.
Dystopia is a pretty good Mod to and it's a single player map. No new weapons thou but mainly a story. But it's ok.
