Im thinking about getting GMOD10 but will have to go through  the hassle that is prepaid cards.
Sell the game 2 me, Why is it awesome and how much time will i get out of it

Where to start. Gman rape scenes? No best not (but you can if you like). rocket powered super cars made from crates and buzzsaw blades, UFOs from, well, anything lol, self made zombie slaughters, Giant forts with your own NPC guards. You can litterally waste hours on it, it's probably the only game where you can never actually find an end, it's limitless.

I'll post some screenies in a min.

It's just pure awesome fun! Me and my friends got the first server up (it was like...awesome), I think Garry mentioned us somewhere. Also, I'm good friends with one of the LUA scripters and he just said to me "get it." and gave me a few previews.

It's absolutely awesome win!

It's very fun. I recommend it to you. There are some different multiplayer "mods" for it (forts mod, zombie mod, etc.) or just regular build servers where you can build all kinds of vehicles, buildings, bases, robots, machines, catapults, rockets, spaceships, whatever. Just plain old "single player" is fun and you can pose ragdolls and make comics or whatever. You can also spawn NPCs like aint lion guardians, and spawn like 20 of them and then spawn rebel citizens with RPGs to kill them or you can drop stuff on them, blah blah blah. There is a ton of extra stuff to download Here and here. Also, go here for tons of videos by Gmod 10 players, most of them are completely random, but some are really good. Not that the game is dull, but sometimes the videos are just boring.

Edit: Lol at the 100 ways to die vid. There's a lot more to Gmod 10 than i thought.

A lot of new stuff and updates now, you can't use in Gmod 9 and it is not supported anymore so anything after now you can't use either. And it's only $10, which is a bargain.

A lot of changes and countless bugfixes (since Garry was given the full source code to play with, not just the SDK). Lua is implemented both client and server side (meaning lua scripts can't be interchanged between the two versions). There really couldn't be a better time to get it now. It started slow, not many servers but these days there are loads and Garry is soon releasing it for the 2007 build of the Source engine (currently in beta through SVN) which means TF2 and Portal models and improved faceposer along with all the particle effects. Really, V9 is still around just as a demo, wet the tastebuds a little.
