The more I've been playing this the more I'm beginning to believe that the chopper specifically goes for the players that have the highest score. Whenever I'm doing really well and on the top of the table, the chopper seems to hunt me down relentlessly, when I'm doing crap it acts like I'm not even there. I had one game where I was top on my team by miles and almost every death I had was the chopper. I'd end up hiding behind crates and the second I stuck my head out I'd get a face full of helicopter cannon. I'd then watch the kill cam as the thing circled around me ignoring the rest of my team standing out in the open shooting the chopper with pistols. A couple of friends I play with seem to be experiencing the same thing. Also it doesn't seem to make any difference if I shoot at it or ignore it.
