I've never played PoE2 before, and I was kinda curious. What is it exactly? How is it different from normal bf2?

Punkbuster wont mind at all, as mods are all supported, and it will have no effect whatsoever on your stats because it is unranked (however loads of servers have their own ranking systems on them so it'll appear as if it's ranked).
Give it a try. It is more thought out and balanced than regular Bf2. More fun too.
