Nothing, you just call it and it flies over and kills bunch of people. It depends how well it does on the map, game type, if its hardcore or regular etc. Sometimes it doesnt kill anyone, sometimes you get 10 kills with it. Its most useful on S&D right at the start of the round. Everyone is busy running to the sites and throwing/avoiding granades and stuff.
Your kills with the chopper depend on the map and the players you are playing against.hordi74 wrote:

If they are numbnuts, you will rape with the chopper, as they will be out in the open.
If they are mildly intelligent you will get some kills, but not many as they try to move from cover infront of the thing or try to shoot it down.
If they are intelligent, it will be shot down upon arrival.
Also, maps with lots of buildings = useless chopper.
Maps with few buildings = chopper that rapes. Hard.

Calling in the chopper in conjunction with UAV allows the chopper to seek out the enemy and therefore you get more kills.

RPG = No more helicopter, so you can call one in and get it shot straight down!!

People who claim it takes no skill generally get raped by the better players, then claim it takes no skill because they got raped. Now then, CoD2 was only fairly skilless because of the thompson, trench guns and the sten. Bolt-action snapshotting = winrar. Great fun.
venom, the thing about CoD4's mp is it only gets really good when you have some of the better toys, in particular the silencers. Sneaking about in CoD4's mp is great fun. Oh and no CTF.
@OP: No need to karma somebody for answering a question here, we might act like tards alot but this community is normally pretty great about answering questions for people. There's some real gold in between all the flames and accusations of nubliness.

Its well worth trying the MP, skill level does not have to be that high, and its easy to get to 5 star general, but its good. Search & Destroy i find gets the better players as there is no respawning, its all i play and its the nuts!!!venom6 wrote:

The low kill rate makes is crappy for getting unlocks (scopes and skins) though.

But yeah, I've had times where I've gotten loads of kills with a chopper, and times where it either just hovered around, or got shot down pretty quickly.
I prefer getting airstrikes.
Especially on Shipment with 30-40 players.

You sir are correct, high points but low kills, you have to switch games when ranking up to get your unlocks ie scopes, but once you get to level 55 im now happy with what i got and only play S&D.PureFodder wrote:

One round, a guy jumped on an MG, got enough kills for airstrike, bombed the shit out of us and then called in a heli within like 30 seconds. He had like 20 kills in 2 minutes.

You usually get more points in S&D, but there is a map in HQ called 'Shipment' seriously get the 3 grenades perk and a nice (semi-)auto weapon and if you are any good you will get at least around the 60 kills and you will have the airstrike and chopper challenges in no time.
