I have no idea. Even speculating on this would be well, kinda irresponsible.
bin laden as i thought, is still alive. Sneaky bastard, no one knows his real location (unless his body guards)
he could be dead, the US government might of just not told anyone for political reasons an all that stuff, just my thots though.
This is nothing more than a conspiracy on your part dragon102, based on all the other lovely conspiracy theories and political cartoon jokes of Bush throwing "9/11!!!" "BIN LADEN!" out their everytime the American people start to uprise, question, or think otherwise of Bush's agenda.
While he may have used it in the past as a way of frightening helpless-minded people into agreeing with him and depending on him to keep them safe in their homes, I seriously don't think (without any hard proof/evidence), that anyone in the Government would blatently throw out that kind of lie in the face of the nation and the world.
They'd need some serious covert op, intelligence resources to pull that kind of 'lie' off as you've described it. Which includes fabricating a story about how Osama died (if hes already dead) later on once they're done using him as a political tool as your describing. Plus, anyone with Osama, or is in direct contact with him, would also have to be dead or detained in order to prevent the fact he's dead (or captured) from ever coming out.
Also, you might want to question Osama's intelligence network as well.. and their intelligence gathering. Belive me, they are smarter than you and I both know, and keep a good eye on the American people and our opinions. They use the internet too.
So... should whenever they WANT to release a message to us or anyone... don't you think they'd consiter the best possible time to release it? Like when his approval ratings are low.. in order to make people with minds like you start up conspiracy stories as such, to cause more problems?
Or maybe release it during some other nifty time that would subconsciencly effect people in some way like this.

It's very very plausible. Osama only seems to surface and threaten the US when the Bush administration is in trouble. The fear almost forces people to continue trusting that Bush knows what to do in times of threat, so most of the right-winger and moderates will drop behind him again rather than question him.
He appeared just before the 2004 election, causing people to become afraid and vote for Bush.
He appears now near the peak of the whole right-wing scandal, ranging from lying about Iraq intelligence, problems surrounding Alito's nomination, Abramoff, and the entire wire-tapping debacle.

I heard osama wanted a ceasefire. but i don't know it with this guy it could easily be a trick.

I bet bin laden is living very well in a bunker under the white house sipping tea with george dubbya. The gov. just says we haven't caught him yet so we can leave our troops over there and control oil prices.

I know nothing about that tape, I haven't seen it, I haven't heard it. I am no expert on Al Quaeda, I am no expert on audio/video tape analysis. That's why I said any speculation on it would be irresponsible. I was speaking of myself, of course. Don't let me stop you...
