I'm having trouble running BF2 at high settings even at 800x600 I get lag, but it runs as medium fine with AA on full

can you guys see any obvious bottlenecks in my system?

i just want to be able to run BF2 at high quality with AA on full at 800x600/1024x768

im not sure whether to upgrade my processor, RAM or anything

Thanks in advance

from looking at it that set up should be fine?
no idea how good your mobo is though so I could be wrong. Why run it in 800x600? what monitor have you got?
Maybe more ram will help but Im only running 2 X 512 sticks.
I also hear theres a problem with static mesh (which is being fixed in next patch apparantly) taht contributes to the lag.
If I lag I just jump in a jeep and do a lap of teh map, take the textures in. helps me anyway

I'd say RAM.... Dual Channel AND 2 GB rule

thanks for the answers guys

Upgrading to dual channel ram would be quite a costly option as id have to upgrade my Processor to a 939 pin as the old AMD 754 pins dont support dual channel ram (i think)

im considering buying a 1GB stick of ram, then id have 1.5gb... do you think that would be enough?

i like running in 800x600 or 1024x768 because i always run games like that and it just feels right to me

EDIT: oh and i have a 19" relisys CRT (not sure what model )
