There's a CoD2 mod out there that mod's it in to basically BF2 with kits etc but it doesn't have the weapons.

My idea is to improve on it. Would'nt you love to have an saw taking out zombies left and right? Or an AK101 with a gp-30 blowing em to bits? Maybe you would like a jackhammer tearing through zom's? Man i gotta learn to program!Entertayner wrote:

CoDUO and CoD3 have immediate, short term ranks. For example, when you hit 10 points in a specific round, you get promoted to corporal. The highest you can go is Sergeant and Master Sergeant, and the ranks aren't tracked so they just disappear after the match.
I'd like to see some BF2 style ranking in the next CoD game. Maybe not as lopsided, tho. They should have ranks, but make them discreet enough so people aren't labeled by them. I think not sticking ranks over someones head in-game would really help.
Rainbow 6 Vegas has a good ranking system, it's balanced enough so that a lot of people are still under the rank of Sergeant, which is good, and the ranks can only be seen from the scoreboard and on peoples arms. It's displayed but not so prominently as in BF2, where you have people doing all sorts of crap just to get a higher rank so they think they look cool.

the trouble with a bf2 mod for CoD is that it'll never be bf2. If you get the guns, you'll be aching for a "strike at karkland" map or something else not found in Duty.
Keep them separate I say.

Ever play Ghost Train map? That map would be awesome in bf2 thats one of the reasons i asked this question.aardfrith wrote:

And i was thinking about transferring just part of the kits Like AT having submachine gun and sraw/eryx, Support Light machine gun and tear gas launcher, or my favorite Spec ops and c4.
Day of Defeat did the classes very well. They had Assault, Rifleman, Support, Machinegunner, Sniper, and Anti-tank. Very similar to BF2 and very good balance..
The stuffed up the recoil - it's massive.Spearhead wrote:
