Why do so many people think PR is better than PoE?

Now, as for myself, I have both mods, and I enjoy them both.
IMO, PR has things that PoE2 lacks, and PoE2 has things that PR lacks.

I just don't understand why people call one better than the other, they both have their ups and downs...

Well, apparentlyI'm banned for excessive tk'ing on |TG| pr server, one of the best that's up. The only thing is i've never tk'd a guy on their server, heck, i've only played about 3 rounds on their server. I can also never find a decent squad mate who is willing to help man a tank/apc/chopper. So I do not look to brightly upon PR these days. Poe's fun, but you can't compare a realism mod to an all out do what you want mod, different catagories, different styles of play needed. Both 'can' be fun.

I played both, and never really fell in love with PoE. I don't really know why, but PR definately stuck better.

Aye - seems to be only so many people will play mods, i'v been playing mainly reality this last while, I really like the Helos in it, I still really like POE though, and will be back playing it soon as it picks up again, as i've no doubt it will after the next release, it's the happy medium between arcade/Realism. Reality is very slow and methodical, POE is much faster paced but with better weapons balance/accuracy than vBF2

POE2 does it for me. Un-duped weapon(s) damage / capacity loads give the fight certain realism.

EA Games need to consider this mod IF they intend to keep the BF series alive.

i like em both, but poe2 is more arkade-ish than pr, so i prefer pr since it's more punishing.
the eve of destruction mod is a good mix between pr weapon damage and poe2 cqb. worth a try.
i am personally taking a break from poe2.

I'm biased towards PoE2, but I still don't agree with bashing any mods. All of the hard work and dedication put into the mods is astounding. Just because one mod doesn't fit you, or your playstyle, is no reason to call it horrible. There are tons of interesting and innovative measures put in place by many of the mod teams.

PR owns it all the way, it something different which is what i look for. PoE is just different weapon models, different maps but still the relative same gameplay. PR is actually based on A LOT of teamwork/squads.

I havnt played either mod in ages, but POE2 is hell more fun for me anyway. I mean come on, i used to go like 70-3 in the NH90 i think it's called. No1 expects a nice harmless transport helo to go rambo on a tank column, and waste em all. Works everytime

never been on poe - i downloaded pr and love it; it's all i play now. i love the squad work, so giving it up for something else doesn't make sense. you don't miss what you don't know i guess...

Do you know how many times i was on the Palace roof all alone begging for an extraction by the blackhawk and actually got it? Thats why i love PR people want to win they dont care about points.

I stuck with PR because it offers a different style of gameplay. PoE, when I tried it, felt too much like vBF2 (similar to Desert Conflict) so I never really stuck with it.

Yeah, I think that's really it. Teamwork nets you so many more points in PR that it draws a certain kind of player in. If you like being a lone wolf, chances are you'll hate it.

You have to learn patience and real communication before you can play PR. For some people 30 seconds is enough to say it's "horrible."
