I had to uninstall it, but before, while i was playing and crashed, there were realistic crash effects (like the plane blowing up) and when I re-installed it, the crash effests are no longer there. any idea on how to get it? if it involves downloading something, it has to be freeware.
Change your settings. Chances are it auto-configured into low realism settings when installed.theit57 wrote:

EDIT: this is Microsoft Flight Simulator, right? Get MSF X - better effects and graphics.

But really, I can't think of anything else. Is geometry, texturing, weather, all high? Maybe your rig just can't handle everything at highest settings, and cuts some stuff out.
You may have had a add-on for the effects, theres a bunch of good free download sites for FS9 downloads.
