I still love bfv, great game, but ive never found the NVA tunnels what maps are they on ?
If you were eingineer, you could dig "tunnels" in the ground, and would make a spawn point for your team, and they could be destroyed.

Fantastic game, racked up at least 300 hours on it in one summer(took me a year and a half of BF2:P) but the bane of my existence was the insane baseraping made possible by your local M-I8 pilot...I still have nightmares
I used to love doing that, hover at like 700m up and just rape the hell out of 'em .

Battlefield Vietnam rocked!  Although I strongly miss Capture the flag from 1942. That was so much fun!

And the SKS too. One of my favorite kits was the secondary sniper one. It had the SKS, bouncing betties, and I think trip wires.

BFV is the shit. I don't get why so many people didn't like it, I thought it was a fine game. Sure the M60+LAW was a little bit stupid on DICE's part, but that got fixed. And POE1 was just phenomenal. It was BFV, POE, CS:S, and GT4 that filled my gaming needs... all until BF2 came out and dominated my life.

So true my friend. Still gives me the shits when i remember being VC sitting on a hill, suddenly hearing this flight of the valkyries music playing and seeing 4 choppers come over this hill in a modded huey server. Damn good game, my first battlefield to.

The old M60/LAW combo was nuts, like combining support and AT!!!

BFV would be great with BF2's engine, but the favourite in the series would be BF1942 still.  So many good memories from that game...

Forgtten Hope is hands down the best BF1942 mod ever!  Lets hope FH2 will rule as much as FH did!

i found out about bf2 at the beginning of the last school year from my roomate that had a gaming-worthy computer. at the time i had a shitty laptop so bf2 was out of the question, but i picked up bfv anyway. all i can say is that its about 90% as fun as bf2. damn i love that game. the fun i had with it probably contributed to me buying a decent computer and moving on to bf2. i really dont know why everybody disses bfv. but then again i never played dc or bf1942 so who the hell am i?

I played BFV and PoE for a long time. Enjoyed both.

BFV had greater visual variety than BF2, allowing you to adjust head and body skins/models for each class. BF2 (on USMC, for ex.) assigns all black guys to support and assault duty. Everyone else is white.

The only foul thing about BF2 was that music emitted from every single vehicle, creating the world's ugliest mish-mash of oldies. At the very least, they could've made the jet speaker internal only.

I loved that kit but you couldnt beat the m60 and the M79, cut them down with the MG then finish them of with a M79 shell.

I loved it and still do!  Great game.  Hard to argue that its better than BF2, but if it had ranks, stats, unlocks, etc. I think it would put up a really good fight

I've killed too many M60 and M79-bearers with the SKS.

In my opinion, it is. I loved that you could change skins and models for your kits. The dogfighting was fun. It had more jungle combat, and its 'urban' maps weren't that bad (more wrecked buildings and blocked roads). Sadly, if it had stats I think more people'd still be playing it.

I still play 1942 regularely, probably more than I play Bf2. Me and my friends also have lans quite often, and since the requirements are so low, we can have lots of people just using someone's 2nd or 3rd comp or laptop. Still trying to find another copy of the bfv/redux/1942/secret weapons/road to rome box, it's only $25.
