I dont think it's just me cos someone else asked me about it as well but I keep getting "Error verifying SteamID user ticket". I've got it before but just restarting steam or my computer fixed it up, neither work this time.

reinstall and if that doesnt work go to steampowered.com and download steam from there, then re-download your games you had on steam. You dont need the disks for this either.
I have a other problem, every time i click on friends in game it Will CTD or it will say:'steam needs to be running to access friends' ,and i cant start a server with bots anymore.(happened after i installed windows again)

Go into your steam folder or steamapps folder and delete the file clientregistry.blob. And tada it's fixed.

Always start by erasing (or renaming) the clientregistry.blob. 90% of problems start with this file.
It should be in your STEAM directory, just search for it.
Or visit steampowered.com forums, but they will telll you the same thing.

oh something new i learned then. My friend had a problem where he didnt have cross hairs and i told him to do that and it was fixed.
