That's a big 10-4, the CTD bug doesn't happen if the server is only running 1 round per map. Ran the server all last night and didn't get one crash.

Is it mandatory? If your are not experiencing CTD in 1.05 can you still play the majority of server's?

so it is a hotfix? meaning if I uninstall in the future I should still keep 1.05 around so that I can install it like this:

BF2142->Patch 1.05->Patch 1.06?

or do I just have to install 1.06?

in other words 1.06 is obviously a full patch

And yes, it is mandatory. You can't play on a 1.06 server with a 1.05 client. At least, I think that's why all my servers went red (again) today.

Thanks for the confirmation, what's the best way to remove patch 1.05 then install 1.06?
I'd rather not install 1.06 without removing 1.05. Anal like that
