enlighten me.
(I'm including everything that's both 360 only and 360/PC only)

Alan Wake
Bioshock
Gears of War
C&C3
Left 4 Dead
Mass Effect
Shadowrun
Crackdown
Dead Rising
Halo 3
Halo Wars
PGR3/4
CoD2
Forza Motorsport 2

Motorstorm, Uncharted and Resistance are the only PS3 only titles I can think of that are good. And in all honesty, I didn't like the Resistance demo, which is why I got Burnout Paradise instead.

However, PS3 will be coming up with a lot of good PS3 only titles. Haze, MGS (even though I don't care for MGS), etc. But seeing as Microsoft is a developer of the most used (and best, stfu mac fanboys) PC operating system, you have to figure that a computer company with one of the richest men on the planet as CEO (or, was) is going to make better games overall than an electronics company like Sony.
First mistake... did you just say Microsoft makes the "best" OS? Ever heard of Linux, no? Well fooking use it! Ubuntu is FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR better than any MS OS, MS OS's are designed for things like word, excel, etc etc, MS programs, and whats funny, its not even good at that. That makes it just about the WORST OS out there, for christsake mac OS has better MS Word than MS OS's and I fuking HATE macs.
Second mistake, thinking because MS is rich it makes good software, see above... and please explain the total flop that was the xbox... ill say this once. 120 million to 26 million... Sony make better consoles, period.
Third mistake, thinking because a console has lots of exclusives it means something, seeing as half those exclusives, arent EXCLUSIVES, as they are on the PC, and a quarter more of them are pure shit.. that really doesnt leave much reason for buying an xbox360 over the PS3, be it that I did actually buy one before the PS3, but that wasnt because of the long list of exclusives, it was because it was cheap.

To each his own. I loved XP and I love Vista 10x more.

And yes, Xbox was a pretty big flop...but so what? It also started quite possibly one of the most successful franchises of all time (Halo). 360 is excellent. Do you have both a 360 and a PS3? No, you don't. Not anymore, atleast. I have both, and normally someone likes a new product compared to their old one, but the 360 is superior in so many ways. The PS3 interface is shit compared to how easy it is to navigate on the 360 interface, PSN loads as slow as hell, and the Wi-Fi's not that great.

Want more games? Sure. I just added the ones that I personally liked.

Ninja Gaiden II (coming in June)
Blue Dragon
Too Human (coming this year)
Perfect Dark Zero
Fable 2 (also coming this year)
Ace Combat 6
Saints Row

Compare the list I have to the list of PS3 only titles. There's like 4.

How many trees must die for you all to play Halo 3 and MGS4.

Just throwing in my 2 cents here. I think the 360 has better games, and the likes of MGS4, GT5 and Final Fantasy really isn't enough to make me want a PS3. I've never been into FF, GT5 looks identical to 4, and MGS4 is, like all the others (which I own), clunky gameplay thats only there to link ridiculous cutscenes.

Since getting my 360, I've played through and enjoyed:
Crackdown, Forza 2 (which I also haven't played that much due to it being too similar to all the GT games i've played), Viva Pinata (it was bundled in..), Mass Effect, and the 2 games EA sent me, Army of Two and Burnout Paradise. If i'd got a PS3 at the time, i'd only have been able to play 2 of them.

Everyone's saying that all the big games are for the PS3 this year. Is MGS4 and GT5 really the best people can come up with? Because of my previous reasons, I think they're "uninteresting" at best. Now don't get me wrong, i'm no 360 fanboy. I mde my purchase after the 360 had been out 2 years and the PS3 1 year. I never had an Xbox, but a PS2 and Gamecube (<--awesome). However, there is still nothing I particularly want on the PS3, and I can't see anything in the near future that makes me want one either.

I think the Playstation brand and Blu-Ray is selling more PS3's than any games on the system.

lol... actually i do have both, as ive stated... and sorry to say, but the interface on the 360 is diabolical. And the simple fact is technically, Sony is better at producing software and hardware, so your claim is wrong. The wifi is incredible on the PS3, it gives me more signal than my tower network card and its further from the router than my PC. PSN does admittedly load quite slow, but the only thing on PSN atm is the shop so what does that matter? and to set it clear, i never thought the 360 was very good, because its not. It got bad hardware, and its got bad software.

Halo is also far from the most successful franchise. Smash bros has been out for what? a month? Its already got similar sales to Halo which was out for years. Just because 1/5th xbox owners own one of the halo games doesnt mean its massive selling because xboxs make up about 1/5 of the market... I mean nintendogs sold 17 million, thats the same as all the halo games combined.

Most successful games:

1.     Pokémon Red, Blue, and Green (Game Boy – 20.08 million approximately, 10.23 million in Japan,[43] 9.85 million in US)[18]
2.     Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES – 18 million)[40]
3.     Nintendogs (DS – 17.79 million)[70]
4.     Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2 – 17.5 million,[24] may include PC and Xbox versions)
5.     Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec (PS2 – 14.87 million)[103]
6.     Pokémon Gold and Silver (Game Boy Color – 14.51 million approximately, 7.6 million in US,[18] 6.91 million in Japan)[43]
7.     Grand Theft Auto III (PS2 – 14.5 million,[24] may include PC and Xbox versions)
8.     Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (DS – 14.17 million)[70]
9.     Super Mario Land (Game Boy – 14 million)[40]
10.     New Super Mario Bros. (DS – 13.14 million)[70]
11.     Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire (GBA – 13 million)[79]
12.     Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2 – 12 million)[115]
13.     Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! (DS – 11.71 million)[70]
14.     Super Mario 64 (N64 – 11 million)[43]
15.     Gran Turismo (PS1 – 10.85 million)[103]
16.     Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen (GBA – 10.66 million)[63]
17.     Super Mario Bros. 2 (NES – 10 million)[40]
18.     Gran Turismo 4 (PS2 – 9.92 million)[103]
19.     Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day! (DS – 9.841 million)[70]
20.     Final Fantasy VII (PS1 – 9.8 million, includes Final Fantasy VII International)[104]

Dont see halo on there... /end of need for argument.

Spidery_yoda you generally buy the console for the exclusives, if there arent any exclusives you like dont buy the PS3, you would merely be wasting your money. Coz its a lot of money to waste. Thats my advice for you.

people buy Xbox360s and PS3 for different reasons. I bought a 360 cause I don't like the PS3 controller and the games that are on it.

People may have bought the PS3 for blu ray and other reasons, same with 360, seriously I don't give a flying fuck. ^^^And your statistics are stupid because half those games come with consoles when you buy them or they are crappy Asian games that Asians play.

There are quite a few big games coming out this year, you can also expect a price cut before Christmas which will shift a couple million.

Quick points i want to make.
1. Many people have been saying that the 360 is better because it has more exclusives. First of all, this is a stupid arguement, just because it has more, doesn't mean they're good. I mean half of these exclusives the 360 have are utter shit, and it's no wonder it's got more, BECAUSE IT'S BEEN OUT FOR OVER A YEAR AND A HALF LONGER. People forget that i think.
2. The 360 has hit it's peak, and is coming back down now, just when the ps3 is on the way up. There is no question about it that the ps3 will be the dominant console, because Sony make the best consoles in the world. No doubt.

Thats where your wrong, the playstation has superior hardware. that is a FACT. Its hardware is more powerful. MS software is conceptually week and implemented poorly. Now that is opinion, an opinion shared by programmers across the world.

And no i dont consider that extremely successful. GTA series 80 million copies, FF series 40+ million, smash bros 28+ million, those are succesful, and as to your figures, those are world wide sales. Not US only.

"The simple fact is that Sony is better at producing hardware and software"? ROFL. You're funny. Too funny.

And Halo 3 has sold 8.1 million, Halo 2 sold 6.2 million (in the US alone), and 5 million sold for Halo: CE. That's 19 million copies sold. 19 million in the US alone! You don't want to consider that an extremely successful series?
Thats where your wrong, the playstation has superior hardware. that is a FACT. Its hardware is more powerful. MS software is conceptually week and implemented poorly. Now that is opinion, an opinion shared by programmers across the world.

And no i dont consider that extremely successful. GTA series 80 million copies, FF series 40+ million, smash bros 28+ million, those are succesful, and as to your figures, those are world wide sales. Not US only.
How long have those series been around? Hmm?

I rest my case.

I rest my case that Halo is the 36th most successful series. I rest my case on something called FACTS.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_be … franchises

Ill also point out that you may say how long they have been out, but the only halo game that still sells many copies is Halo 3 and how long do you think it is before that stops shifting, I would say a year at max.

And how many copies do the older version of the other franchises sell? I don't see what you're trying to say.

Only ONE of those games that are above Halo have been released after it, and that's Brain Age, which is rated E.

I never said it didn't, I personally have never played a metal gear game, I'm still looking forward to 4 though.

And halo sucks, throughout 7 years they have successfully added graphics and a shitty map editor and still made countless dollars off of reatarded fanboys and all their friends.

So what your saying is in 2 years halo would reach 100 million sales? I think fucking not, so it really doesnt matter when a series was released, its the number of sales per year since release that matters, and guess what, that probably rates halo even lower.

So are you saying that Metal Gear is NOT a successful series? After all, it's below Halo in that list you posted.

K. You make absolutely NO sense in what you say. If you told someone at IGN that Halo is not a successful series, they'd laugh in your face.
