[CoH] Which one?

I was thinking of getting Company of Heroes, but I found out that both CoH's can be played against each other, so I can't decide.
Should I get the original, or Opposing Fronts?

I always completely blow at RTS's for the first 50000 games, but I gradually get a bit better over time.
I read that OP's factions are harder to play for new-comers, so I'm leaning towards the original one.

Suggestions?

CoH gold edition costs the same as Opposing fronts. In gold edition you get both games. I recommend getting that, you wont be sorry.

Deffinetly get CoH vanilla first. I think it's a better starting off point. You should get OF afterwards, of course, it adds 2 great armies.

Well at EB Games they didn't have the Gold edition.

This is sorta like when people message me on Youtube about which Dawn of War to buy and why. Online, DoW gives you four armies. Winter Assault gives you one army. Dark Crusade gives you two armies. DoW Gold gives you DoW and WA. Dow Platinum gives you DoW, WA and DC.

DoW/WA: not even listed on gamestop anymore
DC: $20
DoW Gold: $20
DoW Plat: $30

Now for Company of Heroes:

COH: $20
COHOO: $30
COHG: $40

Similar setup: with the original game, you get two armies. With the expansion, you get two different armies. With both, you get four armies. Prices being what they are, there's no conceivable reason (unless you have either one or the other already) why you shouldn't get gold if you're going to run either game.

I had to badger them for two weeks to get my pre-order box for UT3. The last time I went in, I saw it sitting on their PC stock shelf, and was sent to another Gamestop just to get my little bonus character unlock key. Similar difficulties getting the World in Conflict bonus box.

You'd do best just to order online and let their warehouse monkeys send you your shit (all of it) on time.

I do a lot of CoHOO comp stomps if anyone's ever down for 'em.

The one problem with multiplayer in this game is that early on, people look at your stats and kick you if you have a mere 2 wins and 0 losses. So it is a bit of a stat whore game.

Best to find buddies to play it with.
