Well I just bought this game for $20! I really enjoy it also. Troop management seemed much easier then in Supreme Commander, and I like the space battles better then the planetary ones. And also the camera was much easier to control and much more fun to watch

On fileplanet, there is a 1.05 patch for the game, but it's only 16mb. So, I'm guessing the one downloading via impulse is a compilation of ALL the patches I need.
I guess I'll go about this manually? So what patches have there been? I'll go ahead and install them all...Unless someone can get me a link for a torrent file containing all the patches?

just use stardock's updater, Impulse
and learn to love the garda flak frigate, 20 gardas > 20 cobalts (though you generally have to manually order the gardas to attack non-strike craft targets)
EDIT: when you set up a game, there's a tab which says "game options"
clicky, set pirates to inactive (there's still pirate bases in each system, but they won't actively leave to attack people, they'll just sit there and attack trespassers)

Edit: On fileplanet it has three patches i can download, each 16mb. 1.03, 1.04, 1.06. No 1.16, but I'm thinking of installing them all, and lookin around for 1.16.
