Well here are the games I have for each catagory:

MMORPG: World of Warcraft / Guild Wars: Nightfall
FPS: Battlefield 2 / Half-Life 2 + Counter Strike Scource / Battlefield 2142 / Call of Duty 4
RTS: Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour / Company of Heroes

Looking at them I could say that I have pretty much some of the best games in each genre. Or do I? The last game I bought was Call of Duty 4 but tto be honest it didn't really bring anything new or special to FPS gaming. Actually I thought it was a pretty bad game. Maps too small, helicopters and air strikes to often, on hardcore anyone can kill anyone with any gun, it's all a matter of who see's who first.

Any at the moment I'm concentrating on WoW. I've been pretty much playing it all this week, and I'm only level 30. I only got into WoW because all my clanmates were playing it. But I don't want to HAVE to spend a lot of time and money in a game to enjoy it, and tbh playing it this much I'm kind of getting bored.

So I'm looking for a new game in each category. The game's I liked most were Guild Wars, Battlefield 2 and Command and Conquer. So could you guys possibly write me a new games list with similiar games but games which are more 2008!

Thanks guys!

YES!!!! Someone who appreciates Zero Hour. The amount of flack this game copped was unrelenting and yet i thought the game was awesome.

Anyhoo...
MMORPG: Well they're all pretty much grind fests. WoW is still considered the best of the bunch although you could always look into Tabula Rasa for that MMORPG/FPS experience.

FPS: If your computer can run it well then i have to suggest Crysis. The single player campaign may be short but the game is still awesome. Or you could wait a while and see what farcry 2 is like. That game's looking pretty sweet.

RTS: If you never playe the Dawn of War games you owe it to yourself to check them out. They're quite old although a new expansion pack is coming out soon for that 2008 feel. You could try C&C 3 which also has a new expansion pack coming out soon, although i personally thought it was terrible in comparison to Generals/Zero Hour. Otherwise i'm kinda interested in what people have to say in this bracket. If someone suggest Supreme Commander i want to see a damn good reason why. After 4 skirmishes/lans, i notice eveything happens almost exactly the same, every time and there is NO variety in the units of each faction.

I've just got my hands on a copy of Sins of a Solar Empire which is supposed to be an awesome new RTS but i haven't played it yet. I'll get back on that one.

For RTSes, check out Act of War and C&C3.
