Red Alert 3 announced (almost)

A huge exclusive announcement is coming in April 2008 in the PC Gamer US, and the game is Red Alert 3.

Personally, my feeling is that EA is probably going to be milking it all, but it does sound kinda cool, and it's interesting to see the franchise resurrected.

Agreed. RA2 and Yuri's were fucking sweet, The Final Alert Map modder gave my many many many hours of gaming. In fact, I might play that here in a little bit.

I thought it lacked a lot of the classic CnC aspects for me. It's a rather primitive RTS after all these years, nothing revolutionary. They spent too much time on FMVs.

I thought the original Red Alert was pretty great at the time, but as soon as I played Total Annihilation I realised just how rubbish it was.

Didn't really play the 2nd one, but i've heard nothing but praise(praise being an understatement of course) about it.

Hopefully they'll be able to make an awesomesause RA3 though.

Thena again it's EA so we'd better not get our hopes up too much.

RA2 sucked, so if its anything like that I wont be buying. Superweapons across the entire series after Tiberium Sun have fucked up the entire game and gameplay.
