Maybe his co-worker doesn't think it's a poor call. It's all a matter of opinion, really. Let him do what he wants.clogar wrote:

Speaking of Diablo...
Does WoW have bots?
My friend always used to leave his computer on with a bot running in D2 so he'd get a bunch of better items.

Bots are very common but are used almost exlusive by the goldfarm companies.DefCon-17 wrote:

Is this thread criticizing at a poor spending decision or a compilation of reasons why WoW is a stupid game?
people these days... Talked to a friend of mine about this powerleveling yesterday, he´s a server admin for WoW in Germany and has pretty good conections to the Blizzard GM´s.
Well, I told him about this stuff and as he already got some lvl. 70 characters he made a announcement in his kin about powerleveling. Within five minutes he got 29 replies, asking how much it costs etc etc.
Wicked sick!
We´ll think about this again later this evening (have to check prices of other companies). We already got five guys at hand that are willing to power level other characters...
Damn, this sounds like easy money

I was just bringing up the fact that I never knew this actually went on! Also that people will pay money for something which I consider a waste of money. As has been said from others in this topic, you buy a game to enjoy, but where is the enjoyment in paying someone else to level up your character?
I mean I could create another 3 characters in LOTRO and pay someone to level them up, but why? So I could have 5 lvl 50 characters? I can only play one of them at a time, so what would the other 4 be doing? I guess I could sell the account over ebay or something, but you wouldn't make much money back on the money you have already spent to have them leveled up.
ken wit a mean like?
Och aye the noo.....
I mean, yes.

214k gold...
I only played the first half year, but I know that this is a shitload of gold...
Read somewhere that it would be worth approx 4500 € = 6600 $
