The orange portal shows what you'd see from the perspecttive of the blue portal... so youre lookind down on you from a shallow angle, almost parallel to the wall. The blue portal shows the view from the orange portal's perspective, which is almost the same (close to the wall) but not from an elevation.
So by looking into the orange portal, you are looking out from the blue portal... and vice versa.
