Yeah the original was great but its a bit dated by now. Id say its cheap to buy now though, id get it.
The original was good, although I hear the expansions are pretty dull...
The original was great to play, but extraction point i never bothered to finish as it was just more of the same. Not tried the new one yet, but the first is definitely worth having a go with.
That shit scared the crap out of me, only played for like 40mins, yeah I'm a coward, but chicks dig that! They allow me to be under their blanket when we are watching horror movies... Heh..

Played through the orginal and both expansion packs. It's a good game, although it's not all that long depending upon how scared you get. The expansion packs are exactly the same as the original except a hell of a lot shorter (passed the first expansion pack on normal and extreme in the same afternoon). Zero Punctuation on 2nd F.E.A.R expansion pack (this man is pure lulz)
The graphics are pretty sweet for the time. The weapons and action is sweet but gets repetitive especially when you realise that the pistol, shotgun and type-7 are the only guns you need. AI is pretty sweet, in that they will actually try to flank you and attack from two sides. Story, isn't epic but it's not bad either.
And i find that it's better to not be scared easily because then "chicks" will hold on to you for comfort

Simple.....shot....push the button....find the exit...shot.......

Its pretty sweet the first time around, the second time i just used the awesome slo-mo feature to see how much i could fuck up enemys with the shotty and a few nades. Body parts all round.
Cant wait for the proper sequel, looks sweet. Make it faster developer!!!!

Buy it, FEAR does not disappoint. All guns fun to shoot, AI is excellent, play with good headset in a fully dark room at night by yourself for full effect.
