So i'm installing Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 on my Dad's PC.

He doesnt have a Joystick and his PC isnt the best.

So i was wondering, is it that hard to play without a joystick?

The game is 10 years old, they probably didn't have joysticks back then, you'll be fine.

I played that game with my joystick. You can fly with kb & mouse, but not pull off any fancy stuff
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

I have microsoft flight sim 2004.

What a total waste of my time, my mum paid a lot of money for that game, it's shit.

Seriously, you take off, and fly for about 5 hours, then you land. All you look at is a few instruments and a blue sky. You can take "historical" flights too, no idea why they went down in history, they were boring.

If you ever get 2004, you'll spend about 30 minutes trying to see how fast you can go, and spend the rest of the time crashing into the ground for fun.

I have FSX as well. It's a great game if you're in the process of getting your license to fly the real thing.

Out of curiosity... what did you expect of a FLIGHT SIMULATOR ?

There were joysticks before you were even a member of the collective sperm group.

Wikipedia wrote:

The Atari standard joystick, developed for the Atari 2600 was a digital joystick, with a single 'fire' button, and connected via a DE-9 connector, the electrical specifications for which was for many years the 'standard' digital joystick specification. Joysticks were commonly used as controllers in first and second generation game consoles, but then gave way to the familiar Game pad with the Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Master System in 1985 and 86, though joysticks - especially arcade-style ones - were and are popular after-market add-ons for any console.

@Hakei

It would serve you well to tone down a bit. And off course this has to be said:

You bought a flight simulator for fuck's sake. What had you expected? Buy a Combat Flight Simulator next time.

Seriously, if you're not interested in aviation, you will have a hard time having fun with flight sims.

Not really man, unless you have the PMDG 747 and you know how to use it without touching the manual.. Then it can be useful

Thank you for telling this kid.
