GCSEs are easy. A Levels are a bitch.
GCSE is the exams you take at the end of Secondary/High SchoolHurricaИe wrote:

BTEC is a course made up of different parts, and they total 4 GCSE's. Plus there are no exams when you take a BTEC
LIES.
BTEC takes the piss - too much coursework, not enough PHYSICAL education.
Plus BTEC is Double GCSE so way too much work needed.
Kptk - Year 10 or 11?

Oh, and not to boast but I go to one of the best schools in the country - I know everything I need to to A* standard in every subject (well, not French since that's such a horrid language).
Revising will be fine for me and the greater recognition of GCSEs are more useful to me if I ever should apply for a university.
Good luck with whatever your BTECs will get you...
No, a BTEC totals 3 A-levels.kptk92 wrote:

Edit: A BTEC Diploma is 3 A-levels, BTEC Certificate is 2 and a BTEC Award is 1.

no way not at all ....gcse's and especially alevels give u much better qualifications useful ones which can get u a well paid job etc... whereas btec offers practical work....im studyin product design for a level anyways ...lots of practical work for...so tbh i think btec's are pretti pointless unless u wanna become a fulltime manual labourer. people i know have all said they took btec's to get rid of the written work etc an most failed there gcse's anyways, so twas there only option
no offence to anyone who does btec........
just my personal opinion

Spamtheman knows.
GCSE's mean nothing when applying to uni, the admissions officer doesn't even glance at them. All you need is A-Levels.TheDarkRaven wrote:
