Loved UT GOTY Edition, liked UT 2004 (Which I'm restricted to due to my lack of RAM) but if this is going to be as fast paced as UT 2004 I might not bother, b/c UT2004 is pretty shit online, but I love it offline..jsnipy wrote:

I hear that there are barley any people playing.
I just got it for something different to play about 3 days ago, i meant to pick it up and was hanging for it for ages but got thrown off by everyone. I gotta say the engine runs sooooooooo nicely, so fast and well optimised, even lower cards deal well with it apparently. Possibly a good choice for someone with a low end PC ATM compared to other 9/dx10ers like crisis. (imo of course)
There ARE very few people playing as mentioned above (although im in aus) But a DM with 6 or 8 is more than enough i think, sure its cool to have 64 on the map, but its a different type of fps. I get migraines from the speed and action (almost) .
You will have a day you get bored though, soon enough guaranteed.. If you've played UT2004 etc You ll get bored quick if your no big fan, i wasn't, but i also forgot all the fun match types, specific to UT.
You really start to get into vehicles and the hover-boards ( which are insane, especially while carrying an orb, and you can tow a line behind faster vehicles which you cant enter with the orb ) SP campaign is great i thought (so far) AI pwns.. Warfare (mode) is good too.
Its not that it doesn't have the playability of BF2, but its so fast paced you don't even realise everything you have to do until its too late, DM on-line is a different story though that's just blam blamblam double kill, killing spree la la land ( have i missed that )
fun in a not give a shit/ stress free style .. Ill be playing it for a while i think, but not constantly or the only fps so id be 50/50 on the vote i dunno..
