Hmmph. I am not impressed.
Who knows how many people are gunna hate me for saying this, but oh well.
The gameplay i experienced in the Crysis demo, a demo which should be flaunting the best gameplay possible to attract buyers, sucked.
Things i hate:
AI sucks:
They can see you from 10000 miles away.
When your running by them and there shooting at you, they go from sucking to killing you instantly every second.
They run around way too much.
They spot you even if your finger is sticking out of behind a rock.
They suck compared to the AI in Farcry, because it was much funner to sneak around in Farcry, you could blend in with your sceniory, and the guards would stop looking for you if you sat still long enough.
Shooting:
The realistic 'swaying' isnt fun. While yes, it is realistic, it makes aiming really hard.
No bullets even hit! I can be 5 feet away and the recoil is rediculous and it shakes your screen and stuff.
The guns are hard to pick up if your in hurry because you have to aim right at them to pick them up.
Your energy runs out way to quickly for a SP game.
And again, the accuracy of all the guns just completely blow.
And MOST of all:
Driving:
I give driving in this game a freakin 0.
First of all, the jeeps are out of control! Theres either WICKED oversteer, or theres not enough steering.
You run into rocks/trees way to much.
Your car blows up way to easy.
It's a pain in the ass to enter a car, because once again, you need to be on the right side and aim at the door just right to enter. <- BF2 style entry would be wonderful here.
Switching seats is a pain also.
Suit:
The suit command rose thing isnt impressive to me either.
I HATE how your gun fires when you click on the Suit option you want, because the whole point of going cloak is not to be fucking detected!
Overall, i just couldn't keep playing the SP demo, cause it kept pissing me off.
Does anyone else notice these things, or is everyone just concerned with how beautiful it looks. Cause thats pretty much all i can give them for this game, good graphics. And shootable trees are kinda fun.
