I was just wondering, is steam safe? I am a bit worried because it cant say "https" because its not a web browser.
So, my question is will i get the right deal, or will my details go to a pasty fraud nerd?

STEAM uses a 128-bit RSA encryption scheme, just like IE. It's safer to do your transactions via STEAM than it is to do them via IE, as IE is more susceptible to attacks from other sources.
