BF2S Forums [Eve Online] Who here plays it?

I played it a few months back on the trail mode but stopped playing it because it was too boring

i have it, its fun but has a tendancy to be boring. to make up for it you dont have to keep playing it to level up and gain access to better equipment. all you have to do is set a current skill to train or buy a skill to train and your char will learn the skill and you can log off and do whatever you want until its complete. no mindless killing for XP or drops. i have a Caldari named Rafter Man currently in a cruiser.

I played the game very briefly, but I also found it super boring. I can appreciate how some people love the space-theme, but for me it was probably the most insipid MMORPG I have ever played. All of the environments are pretty monotonous and boring - no matter how many bright flashing galaxies they put on - and the fact that you 'jump' everywhere, eliminating all 'real' journeying, just means the game is yawn-squared.

You have to find you rplace in the game or it will be boring to hell. Knowing people to give you insta jump to where you always land directly on the gate (Now they changed that I heard) and PVPing when HED-GP was the only way in and only way out, and getting a gang to warp scram and chase down a hauler that had about $300 or real life money worth of cargo and killing him and he support and there's nothing you can do about it those where good times. bad time getting a nice ship and getting chased by 3 people that dedicate there whole night to finding a lone traveler and chasing them threw 15 jumps and catching there ship and killing them, and getting podded

The expansion pack actually comes out today, it will bring huge changes to the graphics engine, including support for Shader Model 3.0 and DX10.  They pretty much re-did every skin in the game except for the galaxy background.  CCP says it is the biggest expansion for Eve that they have released to date.

The game is pure crap untill you get atleast 4mil skill points or about 3+ months of playing. if you can wait that long you might have fun. You really need atleat 9mil skill points to be able to do anything worth doing.

Just got it working with HDR and 16xAA

I downloaded it with a 14 day trial.. played trough the tutorial part, fucking awesome! then when tutorial part was over I had no clue what to do and uninstalled the game

I hated the way that ship looked before, now it looks great.

Yeah, the new shiny look really made it look ten times better.
Most other amarr ships are much better looking aswell, not to mention minmatar.
Gallentte ships look like shit with the new colours in my opinion though...

no time for RPG anymore.. ill just stick to some SP games

From the Trailer, Gallente ships look awesome in my opinion but I saw some other people complaing on the official forums about the new color.  I don't mind it a bit, it looks good imo.  I haven't actually seen it yet in-game though so we'll see.
