What would be cool to see would be a BF: Generations with game modes covering WWI, WWII, Vietnam, and modern warfare, with an expansion for Korea and one for '2042'. Of course, the content of such a product would put EA off, even though they could just resurrect maps from the old games (if they ever wanted to do away with them completely) along with including new ones.

It looks like this hasn't been confirmed by EA, but merely guess work. I do like the idea of destructible environments, and battalions, but the XP system better be easy, or it'll be lame to have to struggle to unlock more assault rifles. ~_~

i just hope they stick with a good thing, and don't mess up the series like 2142 when they tried to change to much. keep rezzes in, heals, all the stuff that made bf2 fun to play. don't glue us to the floor like they did with 1.3, nothing worse than the game moving slower than your reaction time.
Actually, I hope they include things from 2142. The balance, focus on rewarding teamwork, the engine were all better in 2142 than BF2. If they combine that with current day weapons and vehicles we could have the best Battlefield series game yet.
