Tonight (day for you americans) the 2nd beta in Enemy Territory : Quake Wars is released.
The map is Valley (replacing Sewer, not added to).

- The map will be Valley (the one from the original QW videos)
- Bug and Balance fixing
- Improved Bots
- Improved Prediction and Player Physics
- Improved Vehicle Physics and Controls
- Improved Interface
- Improved Audio
- Improved Game Performance
- Improved PunkBuster
- Unranked Server Support
- New Statistics Website
There is also released 25000 new keys! But they are probably gone now.

There are also torrents which got it, you can search them up yourself, if anyone know off more mirrors feel free to post them!

It plays like Wolf:ET only far better balance and pace. The vehicles could use some tuning but apart from that it's pretty good. Then again, I found 2142 pretty good too. Just got bored of it fast because I'd already clocked up 350 hours on BF2; a very similar game...

Me myself got a problem atm, for some reason servers won't let me join 'cause of 'punkbuster not enabled' even if it is, so i guess I gotta reinstall

Finally something new to play I hope they got rid of the lousy 30fps lock from the last beta, and thx for the link Emil, getting 700kb/s on it
One question though, do the accounts/keys from the previous beta still work on this?

Yes, just retrieve your account just like in BF2 when you've re-installed.

But you can't alt+enter now to get to the desktop as this caused problems for some players but this can be fixed by typing com_useFastVidRestart 1 in console (you get up console with ctrl+alt+| for those who don't know)

You found 2142 good, I didn't. I found it very boring as hell, unlike bf2.  And I said "exactly" because I was confirming what Cyborg said, I don't need to explain anything.

Was addressed to both of you. BF2142 is as boring as BF2 has gotten. Both the same game, just different maps and tactics. The game design has gotten stale for me. DICE's has, I mean.

Maybe if people didn't let hype build their expectations up.... Looks at the crysis sycophants club that has developed on this forum.

Tried to sign up for this and it said my computers hardware was to shit! AMD 3200 64 processor, 2 gigs of RAM and a RADEON ATI 9600 AGP card (granted thats shit)( but what the hell are they after?
