I was cruising the web yesterday and discovered this new title coming out from LucasArts.  Watching the trailer made me wish I had a ps3 or 360 to play this on when it comes out.  Being a huge Star Wars fan I hope this title lives up to others like KOTOR and Rebellion.  Here's a link to the LucasArts page on it: http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforce … mmary.html

The "trailer" is a tech demo that's been out for six months. I doubt this game will actually be that good, considering there's no planned multiplayer and you only get four force powers, two of which are push and repulse (aren't they the same thing?). Jedi Knight 2 had about 20 force powers.

Jedi Academy is far better than this, which seems to be merely spoon-fed tripe for license fans with consoles.

Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) by Pixelux Entertainment

What is DMM? DMM -- exclusive to LucasArts for any game releases through September 2008 -- brings an unprecedented level of realism to the new generation of consoles by making completely interactive environments that react as they would in real life. From crumbling walls to shattering glass and even swaying organic plant life, in-game objects have material properties that behave realistically all in real time and without using a single frame of animation.
How often have we heard that...

I mean come on, people have been bombarded with physics nonsense for years, with a thousand brands that do exactly the same thing. Hell, Super Mario had swaying plant life, so how is that deserving of the 'even' qualifier?

Gothic III looks better.

HAHA, was watching one of the production trailers for this game, and all the do is constantly go on about three things: DMM, Euphoria and Havok - three physics engines.

Sounds like they just have three physics engines and thought they would give them cool names to try and make it sound like this sort of stuff has never been done before.

still going to get it though!
