Thinking about a Great Wall server revival!

Okay everyone.

I've recently been in a Euro Force mood. Specifically, a Great Wall mood. I've already got my EU medal, so all I really care for now would be to have EU as most played

So I was wondering if there is any support for a 24/7 Great Wall server.

Great Wall is an excellent map in my opinion, and it seems to be the most popular map of Euro Forces. I know a lot of people want to get their EU medals, so what does everyone think?

I'd be able to rent out a 32-man server starting July 1. Ranked, of course. I'm leaning towards vehicles mode on, simply because the gameplay pace is sped up AND it's really not that bad. The 'evil vehicle whores' will always fall prey to AT mines and AT rockets.

This worked pretty well before, with the =ST6= server. However, I DO NOT want people saying they'll support it only to go back to 24/7 Karkand in a week.

If not 24/7 Great Wall, I'd also be open to something like Smoke Screen and Great Wall.

Again, Great Wall is a great map for getting EU and PLA time, and for breaking 100 BRS as EU.

So please let me know what you think. It'd be great to get this off the ground.

edit: The server would be on the East coast of the US, so that people in the US and in Europe can play with reasonable ping.

Id definitly support it. P'Bot did the ST6 server well and seeded it a LOT with very limited success and it declined after a month or so.
Priv.Adam tried one and got all but a few games out of it.

Everyone says they will - but won't (and I very rarely seed servers).

The =SOE= EF server runs all EF maps, 3 rounds each with Great Wall every other map and I like that. OSS, GW, TQ, GW, OSS etc. Also, it runs BR - a must have imo

Pff, SOE. We can do 10x better.

That rotation *does* work Snake that's for sure. Idea stealing? Pah! If more people come to our server, then they're doing something wrong =p

With His Almighty's gracing, we could even tag it as a BF2S server.

I had my server on great wall but it was empty the whole time and nobody would join. If you hurricane will get your server playing great wall then I will help you get it started.

Yeah, I'd support it!
Vehicles are a must though, as playing AT & engineer makes some sense then too.

I suppose you won't have a problem to fill the 32 slots on the weekends, but if you're running low on players during the week, you should definitely add the other 2 EF maps too (with vehicles of course).

If you're having even less players on certain days, I'd have no problem if you switched to 24/7 AF/EF.
(Although, that could be a problem for you if you want to get Euro army time only, so you probably don't want to play USMC and MEC a lot.)

I'd support it. I used to lag all the time on Great Wall because most of the populated servers are European, but with my new rig, I think I can play with a great FPS rate. My name is Havok and I support a 24/7 Great Wall server.

1) Log in to your [url=account.ea.com/myacct/view-downloadinfo.jsp?locale=en&site=eaco&skin=eacom&app=myacct]EA account[url](alternatively use the Edit > My Account button in EA Link)
2) On the "Download Info" tab enter the desired account name (you can only change that 3 times per week)

Joined Pvt Adam's Great Wall number of times but never anyone around.

4 gigs over next week but after that definitely up for R & R.

I'd join any EF server, because there are not many of them, i really enjoy being a heli whore on smoke screen, lots of points to be had there.
