I am having the same problem as many of you. Tried other advise from several different forums - delete this file - delete that file - reinstall the patch - re install punk buster - re install video drivers - block the router path - manually start PB B - clean reinstall - check fire wall - check antivirus....I've done it all.
Always lock up at 50-66% on map loading. Ran PBSVC.EXE and noticed "test services" button - ran it everything came up green and OK - started BF2142 as usual and was able to get map to fully load. Then got the same (Not Responding) after 10-15 minutes of play. and then could not rejoin (same lock up issue at 66%).
So then I ran the Test service again on PBSVC.EXE and got the very bottom of this post - it appears that Punkbuster B is having an issue - I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS THE CAUSE OR A SYMPTOM - but I wanted to see if someone else could make heads or tails of it.
Submitted Trouble ticket with PB.
I do not care who's fault it is - savvis - microsoft - ea - pb - nvidia - intel - I would like it fixed so we can all get on with either teamkilling or whining about team killers and our nerfed AMP's!!!!
