I read that the developers of Serious Sam were going into a modern day conflict FPS game...it looked similar to CoD4 theme wise. This is probably the same publisher but different developer.

Shows what you know about games. The Serious Sam deathmatches weren't anything spectacular, but the engine technology was excellent and the endless waves of monsters were enough to satiate my coop-starved appetite.

Serious Sam and Serious Sam SE are both great titles, and there are still servers up. Serious Sam 2 is worthy, but from what I saw of the demo the maps weren't nearly as expansive.

Those familiar with Serious Sam, SS-SE and SS-2 have no excuse not to have heard of the fourth game of the series: Serious Sam 3.

I care, I had given up on it tbh. They said somewhere between the first and second encounter that they planned it as a trilogy. I´m afraid the third part comes a few years late though...

As far as I recall, it never has been announced, really. The Devs just stated that they planned it as a trilogy, but never said they worked on a real third part after the second.
