Ok, i have currently installed on my computer BF2 and it is patched to v1.41. I am now trying to get some SF awards but the installation wont work. I put the CD into the drive and click install. I type the CD key in and hit next a couple of times, and it says that it is patching BF2 to version 1.1. Y in the hell would it do that????? Anyway, it always gives me the same message, "patching failed." what do I do, and in what sequence? plz help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uninstall both games and then install them together bf2 first and then sf and then you patch together that worked for me i had similar problem
when all else fails: complete uninstall and then reinstall again. patching shud be the last thing. i should know ive had to do it about 5 times since christmas
I completely removed all of BF2 from my computer. I then re-installed BF2 and did not patch anything. Then I put SF in and tried to install that but I got the same message. Am I supposed to patch BF2 to 1.21 before installing SF???
there should be no reason to patch to 1.21 at all
are you using the 1.41 full patch from the official ea site? the 536MB one (that due to unforseen circumstances i am currently downloading AGAIN)

yes, i am using the full 1.41 536MB official ea patch.
sorry mate, everytime i have problems thats the fix, uninstall and re-install.

as sgtdude1987 suggests, you might want to try a full manual uninstall.
