BF2S Forums trouble starting up game.....

i just installed the game and when i try to run it (right when it finishes showing me that bf2 logo and then the screen goes blank.....)  instead of it doing the EA games and Dice stuff, an error occurs and it tells me to check "working directory" and sync shaders to something....?  what is it telling me to do? and how do i do it?  im not very up to date on my comp. info.
