This is a common problem, and I believe it happens because SF is installed AFTER the 1.41 patch. If you have SF already installed, just reinstall the 1.41 patch and it should be corrected.BudyFX wrote:

or if that doesnt work, youll have to re-install sf... if you did the ea downloader thing, dont worry, once you un-install the program it will allow you to download it again......i had to do this when i opened my SF folder and found all my maps were gone! Than you get to re-patch... yay

I have SF as well, BUT, when I did a search for any "lightning.fx" file, the only place I found it in my directory was in the following zip file:
...\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Shaders_client.zip
I do have a shaders folder in the same spot as your screen shot says, but I have no files in mine at all.
You may just want to do a search for the above zip file on your pc. Mine is about 219KB.
If you don't have it, or can't find it, you want to just reinstall SF.
Unless someone else can think of any other way to fix it!?!?!
