RAM: Kingston HyperX 6GB DDR3 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
HDD: 1x80GB for OS, 1x250GB for storage, 1x250GB external for storage - Not sure on makes, can't be bothered to look.
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 2232BW
Mouse: Razer Diamondback 2000DPI
Mouse Mat: RaiderX with surrounding Blue LED light - Something along those lines.
Keyboard: A peice of shit

*No new HSF as the one I did have was to huge and couldn't be bothered to unhook from my old motherboard and CPU - need one though.
Seven months after posting the last pictures of it, finally managed to cable manage it a bit. Not as tidy as I want it but I have an IDE CD Drive and IDE HDD, so until I purchase some different Drives, it can stay like that. Also in the third picture, theyre extra cables that are connected to the PSU, I could probably take the PSU apart and take them out but no real need, as there's nothing in the bottom section.

*Added a 1TB HDD for Media*
*Still a bit dusty but gonna take my time on that one, because I'm hopefully re-locating my computer*
*P.S. Shitty camera pictures*

Phenom IIs don't do tri-channel RAM
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

This.

Also, invest in a new CPU cooler and a new GPU.

And you can try to unlock that tri-core into a quad core, look around in your BIOS for an option called ACC (Advanced Clock Calibration).

I know, and I know, and I intend too.
Never overclocked anything though, is it easy through BIOS?

They are dual channel only. You should really use 2 or 4 sticks of ram. Only LGA 1366 CPUs (i.e. i7) can do tri channel.

Really? When I bought the CPU and RAM, I checked compatibility and nothing said they wouldn't/weren't optimal for the Phenom II. What problems does it bring with it?

What's wrong with having three 3 sticks? I was going to purchase another, at some point in time, after new Drives, GPU and HSF.

Most likely if you run 3 sticks you're only using single channel instead of dual which will take a performance hit.

It's really easy, especially if that processor you have is the Black Edition which makes the multiplier unlocked... all you'll have to do is increase the multiplier and slowly increase the Vcore until you're stable running LinX.

"new" ?

As far as I know, ASUS have used brown for budget and low-end boards for a loooong time... Higher end ones have been Black or Blue for just as long...

Thanks.

I was worried about the lack of dust filters at first, but there's enough strength in the fans push/pull system so it isn't going to trap much dust and that means less maintenance.
