That's a lot of voltage: CPU-z or BIOS setting?

FSB termination, PLL, ... settings?
That's loaded vcore in cpu-z (and how is that alot of vcore for 65nm I know people who run 1.55+ according to cpuz 24/7 )  really don't remember what the bios setting is (1.5**)  and i use eist and c1e to drop vcore and multi on idle.  this board has alot of vdroop/drop it idles @ 1.51 without them but 1.42 with.

Edit: Also this board isn't the best OC'er for quads, With a better board I could probably run less vcore as I've seen other so it when switching to a more quad friendly board (in case you didn't notice in the pic it's an Abit IP35-pro)

All I'm saying is that 1.47Vcore is a fair amount of voltage for a q6600 @ 3.6GHz. Maybe some tweaking of the other voltages and a Vdroop mod could help minimize the voltage / temps / noise or increase you OC

anything below 1.55V is considered safe for 65nm ... providing your cooler can handle it

The voltage settings I have are vcoree, cpu vtt, and mch (besides the southbridge)  no matter how much any others get this is the lowest vcore I can get 3.6 stable on all 4 cores (3 of 4 are good at a few notches down)  I think the main limit is the board itself not the chip.  I've seen others switch boards and get stable with around .1 less vcore.

Never tried any mobo mods and am a little hesitant to, if I f it up i'm sol on a board.

Really I'm quite happy, 3.6 was my goal when I bought it (the first chip I've had reach my initial goal) and temps are fine, 60c on two cores and 55c on the other 2 with fans on 12v and about 5c higher at 7v, when just web surfing I run the fans at 5v and are basically silent.  It basically came down to being to lazy to go for much more as I have limited time to sit and tweak on it and it runs great as is.

Can too little voltage damage ur CPU at all? because im running e8400 @ 4.05 Ghz... on 1.29v and have used OCCT and Prime96 and they both say the overclock is stable... it just seems like a very small amount of voltage increase since some people are running 1.4 for 4ghz...

If your stable your safe.  Every chip is different but having to use low vcore isn't something to complain about.  How long did you stress it?

selling my Asus P5E X38 + E2180 for at least 180€. Means I can afford at least the XFX GTX 260+ BLACK EDITION. wooooot!

But because there is the funky looking black brick with nVIDIA sticker coming... I most certainly try to afford the GTX 295

I have recently purchased a Coolermaster 932 HAF and freezer 7 pro to go with my rig. Its a big improvement on the Antec 900 as it is quieter and has much more room for cable management and better parts for when I upgrade

Specs:

Tower: Coolermaster 932 HAF (High Air Flow)
Cpu: Intel Pentium 4 @ 3.2ghz stock
Hsf : Freezer 7 Pro
MoBo: Asus P5GD2 Deluxe
Ram: GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz DDR2 Dual Channel Kit
Gpu: ATI Radeon X1900XT 512mb
Hdd's: 2x Western Digital 74GB Raptors in RAID 0
Psu: Hyper Type M 730w

Monitor: Relisys 17inch LCD monitor
Sound: Creative 5.1 Surround Sound + Phillips Voip Headset
Mouse: Logitech G5
Kb: Dell Office Keyboard
Mmat: Boogie Bug AimB.Pad XL Gaming Surface

I know my rig isn't all that good but I will hopefully be upgrading soon: Asus P5Q, Q9450, 4gig Ram, Vista 64bit

Why on earth did you order the Q6600 when the E8400 dual-core costs the same and performs way better
