I guess some people think we owe the species too much of a debt to subject them to mainstream consumption. Moot point for me, since I haven't eaten meat products since last October-ish. Not because I feel all that guilty about it, but because having an infected gallbladder and jaw at about the same time altered my outlook on foods.
The most annoying part was first brushing off incessant offers of the stuff after I decided not to eat it, followed by the equally annoying tiptoeing around me when it comes to what buddies order around me when I'm at restaurants. Is it too much to believe that a vegetarian simply doesn't care if other people eat meat?
As some would say, "if there are any changes, I'll keep you updated."
