I just got Double Agent and today and it installed fine and its patched to 1.02. But all the shadows in the game, are messed up and the characters look like jumbled black messes any help would be appreciated. I don't have any other game problems.

Specs:

Nvidia 8800 GTX - Latest Drivers
Windows Vista
AMD Athlon 3500+
2 gigs of memory

the 3500+ is probably bottle necking your 8800

i don't think its an issue of bottlenecking though, because the game doesn't run slow, the graphics are just messed up.

its not related to driver settings,you can use any settings now with the new driver.
to fix the crashing edit the game exe as it was told everywhere .
"E:\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent\SCDA-Offline\System\SplinterCell4.exe" -ll
found this on the Guru3d forums. Says to add -ll  (ll as in Lamb) in the path of the exe or edit the exe...?

yea its a really buggy game, lucky i got through it with my 7900

took a few tries on setting up the graphics tho

I think this might help.

1) Right mouse on desktop and open properties
2) Click the settings tab
3) Click the advanced button
4) Click on the troubleshoot tab
5) Uncheck "Enable Write Combining"
6) Apply


I was having wierd textures with the people in BF2 and I tried it. It fixed my problem.

Might be a problem with Vista compability since it runs without any graphical glitches in XP.
