Many people are saying they are disappointed by the gameplay, but it is so very unfounded. This is what the diehard C&C have been asking for since it was announced. They wanted it back to the original formula, which it is. Its fast, not complicated, and imo fun. It isn't going to take any awards for indepth gameplay but its a return to what it was about 12 years ago. So EA did their job.

I cant really make a decision after only palying two missions and one skirmish map. The graphics looked a little sub par when compared to games like COH, but they are still nice. I think the speed of the gameplay is spot on though. The cutscenes are amazing, I have always been a fan of them.  C&C fans will dig this game i think.

Exactly, C&C fans should (though if your part of some of their fourms - you will know they are the hardest to please) be happy. C&C has mostly been about these things:

1. Spamming Tanks
2. Quick building
3. Infantry being shite

Now this is the basis of all C&C games, and C&C 3 has followed on from that. Generals aside every1 has been about that. Its deffinantly not going to beat Company of Heroes in terms of graphics, or beat Supreme Commander on whatever that is good at ( haven't played it), but C&C is good at what it tries, which is to be a fast paced, fun game.

Also, im sure one of the developers said that battles online will only last 10 minutes at most, so that shows you how fast pased its ment to be

I like the fact that you dont have too many unit types, that means that it is the players skill and ability to use the units in the right place and time that desides who will be victorious

However easy mode is rediculous    1 rocket squad will take out everything the enemy can throw at ya because it only takes one rocket to kill about everything :p

I look most forward to playing the campaign and get the next chapter in the story where tiberian sun ended i'm to scared to play online, but i guess i will get there eventually when i develop some skills for anything else than turtling

(might be more simple, less advanced, and have less units and strucktures than supreme commander, BUT AT LEAST EA CAN MAKE A UNIT AI THAT CAN FIND ITS WAY AROUND A WALL !!! supreme commander is a failure because you have to manuever your units around every single building if you dont want them to get stuck or shot to peaces because even artillery goes to a distance of 5 feet before agreeing to launch anything :'[   and the interface.. dont even wanna go there, sigh... supreme commander < C&C3

Infantry were pretty good in the original C&C. You could build loads and loads of grenadiers which were great for offense.

I stopped playing C&C after RA came out though, I thought they made it all too gay.

Graphics looked.. Okay. But I don't know how the story or game eventually will be I hope it's going to be a great game cause EA has a lot to prove ( that's what I think though ). Anyway the thing I hate was the FPS Cap on the game it only runs at a maximum 30 just like Command & Conquer: Generals.

I also think the zoom could be a bit better.. It will make the battlefield more organized and less chaotic.

Anyway this demo seemed quite good.

Well duh--it's a demo numb-nuts.  Things are subject to change before the final launch.  I played the originals for months on end...why?  Because they presented a challenge.  I don't know about you, but some of the NOD final missions in Tiberium Dawn were next to impossible, and sometimes boiled down to a bit of luck, plus a lot of micro-management.  And it was damn fun.

Overall, the interface is infinitely smoother than anything I ever played for all sorts of previous RTS games.  Its fast, efficient, and takes up a minimal area of your view.  Doubly so for widescreen (I so want one now).  Graphics are pretty good, but is everything measured by its poly count or all that HDR crap?  If it is, then some people are just shallow-minded gamers.

Best damn (demo) RTS I've played.

I like it...play very well on my PC. Just find the demo a Little bit thin...2 missions and one skirmish...and only GDI side...how about NOD. I had to capture a NOD construction yard and build an entire base to find out how over powered they're in this one!

It's exactly what the developers said it would be.  Game play that new players can easily warm up to, but has enough substance for experienced players to fully take advantage of.  They brought back the old style of game play (aka the side building bar) so players can manage their units all over the map and made it better by introducing the building ques.

I don't know way so many people are whining about it.  It's a VERY solid game and C&C is back to the style that made it so popular and revolutionized RTS games (because it works so well), and from what I've noticed, they've done a near perfect job at re introducing this.

Some people keep comparing it to CoH.  Coh is a freaking beautiful game, but that's like comparing Sci Fi movies to the hitler channel (aka the history channel).

Yea why are we comparing C&C to CoH? Thats... just stupid.

I have to admit I never trusted EA with the C&C franchise, but now I have to admit that they knew what they were doing. They knew C&C was to important to fuck up so they put a lot of effort into it and it's become quite a good game.
I see people complaining about 'It's nothing special graphically blabla'. What? Aren't we acting totally spoiled? The SAGE engine in the most developed RTS engine at the moment and right now there is no real RTS that has any better graphics.
As for the gameplay, it's based on the very game that started the entire genre. How dare anyone say that it's not true RTS gameplay? C&C was the very first RTS ever, so that set the standard. C&C 3 kept true to it for the most part.
Just had to get that out of my system.

C&C 3 is a great final chapter for the C&C trioligy. Gameplay is fast and smooth, graphicaly intense. The cutscenes are cool as usual and its cool to see old units come back.

C&C 3 FTW!

Did you just call me numb-nuts?  Well, did you play the demo for COH or SupCom numb-nuts?

Even if it is just a demo, it is still pretty clear after playing the given campaign and the skirmish mode ten or twelve times that this goes back to the tank-rush formula.  That used to be fun, because that was all we had, but now-a-days I expect to find something in my RTSs called strategy.  btw, that is what the "S" in "RTS" stands for.

This has been posted before:

1. Go to skirmish.
2. Bring down sub-menu.
3. Hold down the first letter of option, then click.

Example: bring down army submenu, hold N, then click NOD.

Works with other options as well. Feel free to experiment. You can even see the scrin UI, but they aren't coded for the demo so you'll lose automatically.

Look people, a developer can't please everybody. This time they chose to please classic gamers, because the game is based on a classic storyline. If you don't like it, stick to CoH or SpCm. Nobody's forcing you to play C&C3.

And tank rushes are still present in both CoH and SpCm, FYI.

It's a bit repetitive, like the other C&C's, hope it's got good missions.
