Well, CS 1.6 has now become the game for me to replace Bf2.It's really fun to play but I also love the surf maps which are very challenging. I'm trying to beat all the surf maps but of course, I've only done a few and there are plenty more. But I was wondering: How do people make surf maps? What program/s do they use to make them? I don't care about CS:S just 1.6 maps. If anybody else plays 1.6 just add me on xfire: rootbeer77. Any feedback is appreciated.

Do I need Half-Life to make maps? Because I just have CS 1.6.
Yeah, I'm supposed to get some textures from halflife.wad which I don't have so I guess I have to buy the original Half-Life. .

like it costs so much to buy now? sheesh.
I used to play the CSS surf maps, they were good.
I think in Steam theres an option to make maps.I tried once but it was too hard.

I never did CS surfs, but I got into CSS surfs pretty heavy for a time. They can be a LOT of fun and EXTREMELY challenging. You should talk to voodoochild, he's a surfing nut.
surf exl beta ftw, i mostly only play css surf.
css surfing is easier then 1.6 and source has alot more kiddies.. but IMHO source is better for surfing
valve's editor is ridiculously easy to use.jord wrote:

the bf2 editor, on the other hand...well, lets just say it reminds me of patch 1.3
I haven't surfed much on CS:S, but 1.6 maps are pretting hard.
