Anyone know of a good racing game thats realistic? I can't seem to find any... I don't wanna spend $600 on a PS3 just for gran turismo 5 :S
Toca3

IMO whips GTs ass ... physics, variety, wrecks, damage (internal and external)

yeah toca owns it has basically every type of motor racing in it.
Gtr2
trackmania nations
http://www.trackmanianations.com/indexUk.php
the game is completely free and features real time multiplayer of up to 40 players or so [i'm not sure of the exact number]
everyone drives the same car, so the only thing that determines the winner is pure skill.
you can, however, customize the way your car looks.
the game is very international, and it's a lot of fun representing your own country on the track.

GTR2 > Toca in every way.
colin mcrae rally 5 i think, very good games
rfactor. get it. now.
NFS:Carbon
Really fun.
Really fun.
I was just about to say that! But it's not realistic.ryan_14 wrote:

Gtr2.
gtr2 and rfactor... forget arcade...
GTR2 or Toca 3 depending on how realistic you want to get. GTR2 has the most realism out there for any racing game on PC. You can tailor the difficulty if you want, though. NFS: Carbon is a blast, but not realistic.
Re-Volt
(you can even download the game there)
Great racing game with radio controlled cars in real life locations (supermarket, toy store, cruise ship, botanical garden, musem,...) with optional weapons (bottle rockets, water ballons, ball bearings, oil slicks,...).
The physics of the cars is very realistic and the graphics are still very good although the game is from 1999.
It also has two online multiplayer modes, race and battle tag.
Also, there is still a small but active community which has produced thousands of custom cars and tracks.
(I once converted all the missing cars from the Dreamcast version and another guy converted the missing level.)

Richard Burns Rally - has online component which is fantastic.
Easily the truest and most difficult driving sim I've ever tried.
Makes Colin Mcrae look like Super Mario cart.....

TrackMania Sunrise & MegaRace 3. Mafia, if you want some FPS action along with classic cars.

Test Drive Unlimited is coming out on February 13th. I've got it for the 360 and I've had countless hours of fun with it.
http://gtr-game.10tacle.com/ Damn good game
FlatOut 2, nice one, but it's not so realistic (or what do you say about 100m-high jumps through windshields).
Need for Speed: Most Wanted
I absolutly hate that for 360!bob_6012 wrote:

Cant get into it. And as for NFS:Carbon, its shite aswell, the only good graphics in the game are on the people. The cars just look like toys, and they are shite to drive.
NFS: underground and 2 and the other one are so much beter.
That sucks ya hate it man, I enjoy it because of the selection of cars and the fact I can just go out and drive around pointlessly. I read somewhere that they developed the cars in conjuncture with the manufacturers so they actually handle like they do in real life. But to each his own I guess.scottomus0 wrote:

All these games you're talking about are just "Games", not sims. They drive like no car on earth ever does.
Get a sim.
Get a sim.
Edit: I've DLed RFactor and it has much more variety than GTR2. I'm going to see if I can take GTR2 back and get something else.Stingray24 wrote:
