Exactly. My brother and I played TA for a while, still do to this day occasionally. The battles could get so intense, especially with the 500 unit cap enabled. Played this one mostly on TEN (Total Entertainment Network) before it got shut down. My bro ended up rankin in the top 10 for that game...really looking forward to Supreme Commander.iPoon.be wrote:

Although Warcraft really started the realtime strategy thing, I prefer Age of Empires.

C&C is very fun, the tiberian world was the best, then generals world, then red alert world. Ok online but not great tbh.
TA series rules, Supreme Commander beta is so fecking sweet. The battles rule.
AOE series is also great, they kinda fell down on AOE3 though. Great multiplayer.
Black & White series is fun, not realy fun to play more than once though.
Starcraft is the ownage, so fun to play mulitplayer and the single player story is awesome.
Total War series, OMG, just OMG.... so so good, if you never played one, wtf have u been doing? Multiplayer online battles with tens of thousands of men are the best.
Warcraft series = win. No doubt about it. The single player story is so so deep. The multiplayer gaming is the largest of all RTS, the custom map making ability is genious and allows for any kind of scenario.
CoH was very fun, however I dont think it realy has much lasting power. Havent tried multiplayer yet, copied version...
Rise of Nations never played.
Dungeon Keeper series, is so fun to play, quite addictive, not much lasting power or multiplayer fun though.
Ground Control series, great idea very original and well worth playing.
Btw incase your wondering... I picked warcraft. It just wins, plain and simple, Blizzard fucked up big time by not making WC4.
Those are all the RTS I can think of, no where near all the strategy I can think of though.
