I've yet to see any place with friendlier people than I've seen in the Bible belt. Also, here in California most of the folks I know are kinder than the folks I knew in Switzerland.

I think the DC area is pretty cold. There are some nice, great people here but a lot of people are so absorbed in their own worlds that they just do not give a shit about others. No better example of it than when an old lady or a disabled person gets on a Metro train and nobody offers their seat (and there are seats designated as priority for seniors and persons with disabilities).

Italy is definately the country with the most welcoming people that I've visited, Germany is quite nice also

US scores pretty high in my book (i went to the new england area and nyc), also swizz, unless your not white. Those are some racist people man. We went to a bar and one of friends that also went to swizz is half Indonesian, so he looks a bit asian (a little bit) and he got in so much trouble that night (and some other days as well) over nothing, just because he was a bit browner than the people there.
