gay.

I tried uninstalling my BF2 deluxe edition (some files are missing)

It prompts the uninstall wizard, but then doesnt do anything after that.

I tried installing it, and it prompts for the language, and then it doesnt do anything after that.

I tried going thru safe mode, but the same problem. I got nothing.

You can remove it manually.
Delete the program files folder
delete the folder in My documents (except if you want to keep your profiles etc...)
Go into the registry and delete those keys linked to Bf2
Reboot and you should be able to install it.

Oh and make sure you keep your patchfile with you or you can download another 530Mb

I think there was even a thread about it which explained it step by step... Yep found it:

That sounds like it'll work but in case you still have trouble try this:

Go here: www.ccleaner.com and download and run CCleaner on your PC. Don't check anything under the advanced options under the cleaner part though. After running the cleaner, run the registry cleaner, (that's the icon under the cleaner icon.) It'll give you the option of backing up the registry before it changes anything. Run the cleaner and the registry cleaner a few times until it doesn't find anything, then completely shut down and restart the PC.

err yea bout that install thing

not really the best idea deleting it manually as you will be left with loads of shared dll's in the registry and i mean like 2000 odd

have you tried using a uninstaller program like http://www.ursoftware.com/

thats a good 1 for example

2000 lol, Usually you have to go on 2 places:
CurrentUser->software
Local Machine -> software
And delete the matching names.

And then most of them are gone.

Sounds like a good time to just reformat and reinstall Windows.
