BF2142 Mini Image

Does anyone know why it doesn't work when I make a mini image for 2142? I'm using Alcohol 120% and It worked fine when I made it for BF2 and other games.

Or even better, could someone just give me a link to download one? Normally I'd be able to find this myself, but for some reason, I can't find it anywhere...

A mini image is a small sized image file of a game disc. When It's Loaded with a virtual CD/DVD drive, the game/program regognizes it as the disc that is recuired to play. A normal image contains all the data that is on the original disc and a mini image only contains files with almost no data inside them, just enough for the game to be happy with it and start

EDIT: www.gamecopyworld.com has a mini-image and crack for almost every game out there.

BTW it uses the latest version of SafeDisc, nothing currently curcumvents it, nothing I have ATM anyway.

ive found dameon tools gets around everything, i use it with NFS: MW, BF2, COH.. pretty much everything

It dosn't get round SafeDisc v4.5 or higher sadly. Which is what 2142 is protected with.

Punkbuster checks the 2142.exe and if it sees a change you'll get kicked/banned. I would rather use the DVD before i get kicked. :x

Basicly what it is, is the exe from the EA downloader version!

BTW, u don't need a fixed .exe file. Just the mini-image mounted with alcohol120% or daemon tools!!!!!!!

The thing is that, doesn't the CD-Key for the BF2142 linked to your account ID?
If that is so, why does EA/DICE require users to mount a CD/DVD to play in the first place?

I bought a pair of cheapo DVD drives from eBay and whacked them in, fair less hassle than fixed .exes and so on. Was about $25 for the pair, just plain black sony ones, second hand. Put the disc in, forget about it.

I do strange things when punkbuster kicks me.

EA won't allow any virtual CD/DVD stations on your system. I had to remove DAEMON Tools, A 120% etc. before I could get 2142 to work.

As said above, by some cheesy cheap DVD players. I have 2 internal 2 external drives.

Game Jackal is very good at creating mini images that work, I haven't got 2142 so I can't test it. But it worked fine for BF2...
