yes. To do this, get 38 kills and one round usually by killing 38 opponents.

i believe jet doesnt work, i got 56 kills on wake while sniper (in a j-10 offcours ) and i still aint got expert.
alltough 42 sniperkills in karkand (without even touching a vehicle) didnt do it either...
i believe some of the badge requirements are just FUBAR....
don't go for the badges, go for the kills, badges will only disappoint you... (if u want one, ya wont get it, if ya dont want em, you'll be an expert without knowing how the thing works.....

you have to done 100hrs as sniper first
then just gaymore spam on a 64 player karkand server = 100+ kills

You can be in a vehicle to get your experts..
BTW this is funny but I've actually got Expert Sniper in a Humvee... I already had 30 kills at hand and my friend and I were trying to cap/defend a flag so he parks the car on a good vantage point and I covered him while he was capping the flag. I got three kills covering him and four more kills defending the flag in a Humvee.

You need 100 hours with the sniper kit and THEN get 35kills IAR for expert. 38 for sniper specialist (SF only).
You can get badges on foot, in vehicles or with arty - anything which gets you kills. Or a combination of the lot of them. The only kind of kills that wont get you a badge is teamkills....thank fuck now I think about it!
Try hovering your mouse over the badge in your stats and it tells you this......

get in a tank you smacktards! And pwn dont whore like some of you are going to say that i whore or what not but tank is the easiest way to get badges period. and oh one more thing its called spell check for the topic

Find a half empty server or less, 20 out of 64 is ideal.
Then you can do it with a pistol if need be, the round last nearly an hour, even the noobs get 40 kills.
Take advantage of the G...Claymores too they'll get you a quarter of the way there without even sweating.
But you need to have 100 hours first!! it isn't either/or!!

Now, to recieve your Expert Sniper Combat Badge:
You need to get 35 kills IAR in vanilla BF2.
You need to get 38 kills IAR in BF2:SF.

I actually got mine as I was trying to get Expert Explosives with clays. Got both expert explosives & expert sniper in the same round ... 30 clay kills, and another 15-20 kills with pistol & sniper rifle

Go on a long round in Warlord and use claymores in the palace - get your explosives expert too.
Also be careful kit switching. ie if your a sniper and a tank kills you, then you respawn AT and kill the tank that obviously wont count to your 35 IAR. So try to play sniper the whole time, or keep an idea in your head how many kills were obtained with other kits.
