Nice=) never heard of F9 before but will try it myself next time I fly chopper=) You're good pilot, but the worst I've seen is at Insomnia365 sharqi. A guy got about 250 points and zero deaths in one round.. They have 50 ppl online in that server almost 24/7 and at that time it was full! I promise, he wasn't cheating..next round he got 150 p They were never shot down! But you're awsome too!!
Pretty simple when the US has the airfield for a while its just a turkey shoot nothing special. No j-10's no z-10's only a jeep and the stinger sites to worry about.
nice video! +1 also good music... i find it harder to controll a chopper with a joystick, i can only use it for jets.

anyway, is this "f9 trick" just changing the camera angle, so you don't see the cockpit when gunning? if so, then where have you been?

No it's the trick for new gunners to synchornize with pilot POV (point of view) 12 'o clock, as you know gunner POV will move with turret while pilot POV is stationary this just gives gunner an idea of what pilot sees. And if there is no VOIP enabled on server this makes up for communication in my opinion.FFLink13 wrote:

M/K here, I do have my throttle set up on my joystick at a perfect hover. Other than that M/K all the way. I use C key for views. I love piloting choppers, been wanting to gun more but finding good pilots is always a task. They always want me to pilot so they can rack up all the points.

A lot of people know about the full screen mode when you hit C or F9.
The console commands can even be used for enhanced/realistic display...
renderer.drawfps 1 (Shows FPS)
renderer.drawhub 0 (Removs Hub)
Try playing the game with no Hub. 100% Realistic.
No ammo bar, no radar, no health bar. Just a first person view.
If you do this I would recommend to count your bullets...

I really like how you set your gunner up so well. Sometimes I'll gun for a high ranking guy and he'll think high rank = good pilot. I disagree with you on the mouse/keyboard thing, nose angle is most important and once you learn that accel/decel doesnt matter so much. I recently bought a joystick though and although I've been using it for jets I still prefer m/kb for chopper flying. Maybe one day I'll give the joystick a serious shot though.
Does anyone know if the attack helo piloting in BF2142 is very similiar to BF2 style choppers? I know their hovercrafts or whatever and they look all futuristic but is it a similiar flying system? Will good BF2 pilots be good 2142 pilots easily?

I just would like to say as a final word that it pisses off everyone when a pilot shakes your hand right before he kills you, I'm talking about close contact with that cobra's nose, there aint much you can do against a pilot who flips the island like that, you spawn and you're dead, chaos all around, just perfect

The other team were nubs. Get a couple of decent anti-tankers, and with you flying that low, you'd be sraw meat in no time.

not hard when they have 2 spawn points...try wake when they have one, thats where all the points are.
you can also do this in a jet, just bomb the hell out of the spawns...
